JEREMY BEAVER (DJ BOOM)

As a DJ, producer, engineer and business owner for over two decades, Mr. Beaver’s studio has become the epicenter of music and Hip-Hop culture in Washington, DC. Growing up in NYC in the 1980’s, he got his start as a mixtape DJ in high school, later becoming a college radio DJ and A&R for Virgin Records while attending The George Washington University. As a battle DJ, he produced and sold over 30,000 vinyl DJ Break Records in the mid 1990’s planting the seeds of what would become DC’s current Hip-Hop scene.
After graduating with a BA in Radio & TV Communications in 1998, Beaver signed to DCide Records and then to Columbia Records as a DJ/Producer/Engineer. Foregoing band-life for broadcast-life, Beaver became a syndicated producer for NPR, and then Director of Production at XM Satellite Radio helping launch the America’s first satellite radio network and the first satellite Hip-Hop channel The Rhyme, as well as other channels. Also known as DJ BOOM, he launched Listen Vision Studios and as lead producer/engineer has worked with Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, DMC, KRS-ONE, Doug E. Fresh, Redman, Mobb Deep, A.G., El Da Sensei, Sean P, Freeway, Mr. Cheeks, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Wale, Shy Glizzy, Tabi Bonney and many more- winning over 30 major music awards and accolades at Listen Vision which is DC’s largest and oldest recording studio located at the entrance to Howard University since 2004.
Listen Vision is also a broadcast studio and has expanded over recent years to become the largest live-streaming internet radio station in the country with over 70 live weekly shows broadcasting to over 150 countries. After successful investments in cryptocurrency, Beaver decided to divest and sought a tangible project of passion in 2016. His love for hip-hop and collecting led him to amass the largest collection of Hip-Hop memorabilia and artifacts in the world.
